Yucca - Close Up of Petal and Late Afternoon Blossoms

Yucca is a plant you will find in hot and dry areas of North America. It is a genus of perennial shrubs and trees in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Agavoideae. Its 40-50 species are notable for their rosettes of evergreen, tough, sword-shaped leaves and large terminal panicles of white or whitish flowers. My neighbors do have some blooming in June, but they are starting to wain. The right image was taken in late evening and has the golden glow.  Normally the flowers are hanging down. In the image on the left. I tried to open up the one blossom to get a close up view -Camera+ macro. Post editing was done in PSE 11. I sharpened the left one more than usual. I had posted an image earlier of one with varigated leaves looking down the center - no stalks then. Be careful not to get too close to the foliage as the leaves are very sharp and "ouchy".
